Today’s Forever Home Friday blog post comes from Kira & Matt. This cute couple decided to build their new home with Rohit Communities back in January, 2013. They had such a great experience that they wanted to share their Forever Home story with future home owners! Read their story below:
Matt and I decided to buy a single family home in January 2013, as we had been living in our St. Albert condo for the previous 5 years and decided it was time for an upgrade. Being a “St. Albert kid”, I knew that I either wanted to live in St. Albert, or as close to St. Albert as possible. Luckily, Rohit Group developed and built in the beautiful community of Starling at Big Lake, which is in Edmonton but literally right on the St. Albert boarder (in fact, I can see the City of St. Albert annex line from my house!). Working at Rohit, I was familiar with our team and product line – both of which I truly believe in. Therefore, picking a Rohit Home was an easy decision! We decided to build the Heathrow, which is a 2150 sq ft 2-storey house with a 3 car tandem garage. Getting into the subdivision early, I was lucky to be able to choose a beautiful lot, and we built a walk out on a ravine lot that backs on to a pond.
To this day, I am very grateful that I live in this wonderful community and built this beautiful house. Starling is truly an amazing place – we have seen many different kinds of wildlife right around our home, including many deer, a moose, owls, ducks, geese, a blue heron, cranes, beavers, muskrats, and about 50 different other species of birds. There is also a ranch that has horses and horseback riding right outside the subdivision. All through the buying and construction process, Rohit Group was a joy to deal with and we are more than pleased with the final product and the area in general. We look forward to spending many years to come in our “forever home”.
