Edmonton, Alberta – On July 24th, 2015, the Canadian Home Builders’ Association – Alberta (CHBA – Alberta) released their list of finalists for this year’s Alberta Awards of Excellence in Housing. With 140 industry members spanning the 6 local home builder associations, competition was especially diverse this year with over 400 submissions received. Despite the tough competition, Rohit Communities is proud to have earned four finalist nominations for Single Family $340,000 – $380,000 for the Kolkata’s two storey floor plan, Multi-family Duplex Under $350,000 for the Maddox in Sienna, Multi-family Townhome under $350,000 for the Carlton in Glenridding Heights, and Multi-family Townhome $350,000-$500,000 for the Maddox townhome in Allard.
The annual competition provides home builders across Alberta the opportunity to showcase some of the most innovative and creative designs and floor plans they have to offer, with judging for each design category based on the curb appeal, kitchen, great room, ensuite, creative use of space, and any other special feature of the new homes submitted. The Maddox in particular, which was nominated twice, is an extremely popular model that appeals to both first time home owners and downsizers alike with its charming curb appeal, completely open concept main floor, and second floor laundry.
