Fall in love with your home, and your community.

You know the age old saying, “It’s all about location. Location, location, location.” And is it ever! Choosing your new home is about more than just what’s in between the walls, it’s about the community. Most importantly, your community.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN CHOOSING YOUR NEW NEIGHBOURHOOD

Not sure where to plant your roots? There are many important things to consider when purchasing your new home. Consideration of nearby amenities, access to major roadways, and proximity to schools are just few of the many things to account for when searching for your new home-sweet-home. So what’s the inside scoop? We’re here to help you out!

  1. Nearby Businesses – It’s one of those things that “you don’t know what you have until it’s gone.” And the second you’re miles away from the grocery store, you’ll know it’s gone. Easy access to shopping, dining, entertainment, and services, including medical centres and gas stations, are all important things to consider when looking for your new home. Rohit Communities’ homes in the southwest Edmonton community of Glenridding Heights are within minutes of The Currents of Windermere shopping complex–we’ve got your back! In Calgary, Essential Savanna has unparalleled access to all of life’s amenities – shopping, restaurants, schools, the Genesis Centre YMCA, C-Train station – you have it all! In Regina you will find that the community of Westerra, just minutes from downtown, the Cathedral and the new Mosaic Stadium!
  2. Proximity to Schools – Access to schools and childcare are one of the top priorities for families with young children. A home within walkable distance to schools, or alternatively located on nearby bus routes for ease of transportation, are very important considerations when choosing your new community. In the Edmonton community of Starling at Big Lake, our homes are within access of many of Edmonton’s public and Catholic schools. Seton in Calgary is located near to a near high school opening in fall of 2018. And Regina’s community of The Towns also has access to several schools, both public and Catholic.
  3. Getting to Work – You might think you don’t mind the drive, but the second you’re headed home from work, you’ll appreciate a quick commute. Access to major roadways are an important consideration to make when choosing your new community. You’ll find Rohit Communities’ homes all over Edmonton and Sherwood Park, within quick of access to major roadways like Anthony Henday Drive, Whitemud Drive, and Baseline Road in Sherwood Park. Calgary’s community of Seton has quick access to Deerfoot Trail and Stoney Trail! In Regina, Westerra is located near to Dewdney Ave, providing a direct route into downtown!
  4. Green Space – While the comforts and convenience of bricks-and-mortar shops are important additions to any community, access to parks, natural amenities, and all around “green space” not only enhances and adds value to your community, but it also encourages a more active lifestyle. Rohit Communities in Starling at Big Lake is located just moments away from Lois Hole Provincial Park, and our north Edmonton community of Cy Becker is intertwined between vast walking trails and green space thoughtfully placed throughout the community.
